Fairfield Inn by Marriott Salt Lake City Hotel

We have stayed here several times, this last trip was great as usual. Helpful staff, clean rooms, great breakfast, convenient location, safe secure facilities, a great value for the area. We highly recomend. One caution, avoid rooms that are next to stairwells suitcases are loud going up stairs at night :) there are only a couple of these rooms.

The place was good enough, it had a convenient location for me and the in-room ethernet connection was a big plus. The room felt kind of cheap, especially because of the compact fluorescent lamps placed everywhere. It was ok for three days, but the hotel's key-card system was broken when I arrived. Until the system was fixed the next day, the only thing I could do was let the door locked behind me, then have a desk person escort me upstairs and unlock the door for me. On another topic, a desk person had incorrect information on where my company had its new offices located, and it took a while to locate them. Also, they do not have elevators.

This hotel made me feel practical: It was not expensive for my company and the hotel chain was clearly good at finding ways to cut costs.

It was largely just as it should have been: a basic, but not unpleasant, motel for short-term business use. The only problem was that the key card system wasn't working when I arrived, but the staff didn't realize it, so I had to run up and down the stairs three times with my bags before they figured it out (there's no elevator). And then I had to have the front desk person let me into my room each time I came and went until the system was fixed the next day. They said this wasn't the first time this had happened.

This hotel made me feel important: They did more than we expected any time we needed anything.
