Fairfield Inn by Marriott Glenview Hotel - Page 1

The hotel was close to where I was working. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The only problem was with the internet access and they resolved it to my satisfaction.

It is an acceptable hotel. I have stayed at that hotel before so I am a returning customer.

The room key did not work. I have trouble walking and I had a long walk to get back to the desk. I was given another key, which still didn't work, and another long walk to the desk. Finally, the clerk gave me a different room and finally came up with me to make sure it worked. At the outset she had even indicated that there might be trouble with the key. She should have escorted me at the beginning. It was late, I was tired, and had traveled by train, and suburban train, and then by cab, with my luggage and difficulty walking. I should not have had to endure what I did at the motel. However, I believe that this was neglect by this individual clerk, and I do not blame the chain.

It's a nice hotel, but it would be nicer if it was closer to Evanston as it was a 16-mile commute to the conference I was attending. But no other major hotels were closer so I guess it is not a hot spot for conferences. It would be nice if the pool was useable in the non-summer months. The breakfast was great, as always!
