Excellent Hotel – Posted Jun 07, 2007

Excellent

We stayed at the Fairfield Inn in Newark and had an outstanding experience. The hotel is clean, well managed and the staff is phenomenal. Everyone from the Front Desk, specifically Virginia, to Houskeeping are well trained and make you feel at...

Bed bugs! – Posted Jun 07, 2007

Horrible

There was a strange smell when I checked in around 2:30 a.m. When I woke up in the morning, I had multiple bites on both legs. I'm assuming these were bed bug bites. When I mentioned this to the man at the front desk, initially, he was rude...

Good

The staff was nice. Overall the stay at the hotel was nice. There wasn't much to do but you could always catch a cab. The long layovers killed me.

it's Newark, what did you expect? – Posted Apr 24, 2007

Okay

This location is difficult to get too, but if you are taking the shuttle you're fine. My biggest issue was the lack of nearby dining. My only option was next door at the Courtyard which provided horrible service.

It's not as...

Good

The front desk staff was the most helpful of all my past two hundred stays at Marriott properties. After an extremely hard day, I left my cell phone in the cab and had no contact information for the cab company. The staff went out of their way to help locate the cab, provide detailed directions to the driver to return the phone, and would not accept a gratuity. That is excellent service, in my book.

The front desk manager offered to make me a cup of tea to help me calm down and relax. No one has ever offered me tea!

I am very likely to return to the Fairfield Inn & Suites Newark Liberty International Airport.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

Good Value – Posted Mar 03, 2007

Good

We found the Fairfield Park & Fly option to be a good value. The hotel is not hard to find. No lunch or dinner service within the hotel. The room was clean & basic. Shuttle service to the airport was on time and efficient. Parking at...

The location was good, very close to the airport. I would have liked them to have a restaurant open for lunch, we were hungry on arrival.

I am not likely to return to the Fairfield Inn & Suites Newark Liberty International Airport.
I would not recommend it to friends.

Avoid! – Posted Oct 22, 2006

Horrible

Even Lewis & Clark would find it hard to get to this hotel because it's on an island between two busy highway. The traffic means you'd better be ready for constant highway noise all night. No Wifi internet in the room-you can only use it...
