57 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
When we checked in at 10:40 p.m., there were many teenagers and young adults running wildly throughout the lobby, the open walkway above the lobby, and also throughout the hotel. We mentioned this to the desk clerk before checking in and were informed this was a large family reunion. We were assured they would be quiet before 11:00.
We had several rooms booked. The first night, one room of our group was awakened in the wee hours with very loud music and shouting. The front desk was called and when they tried to complain again of the same problem, the desk wouldn't answer. Finally, they got dressed and went down to the desk to try to resolve the issue. On the second night of our stay the party moved to our floor. The people next door to me went out in the hallway and asked the partiers to please quiet down. At 3:00 a.m., I was awakened and called the front desk. They quieted, but resumed around 4:00 a.m. Also, several in our group reserved rooms with two beds. Many received one king bed to accommodate two adults and two teenagers. One room didn't have air conditioning for their two day stay. The Chicago heat was unbearable during this time (it was the third hottest day Chicago had all year). I would not stay at this hotel or possibly any Fairfield chain again.
