Okay
This is a high end Fairfield Inn but Fairfield Inn's are not comparable to most other Marriott Hotels. The breakfast food was average, though the service was wonderful. Internet worked great, rooms were quiet.

We reserved a non-smoking king size room. They didn't have it available when we arrived. We are members of the Marriott rewards program and were quite dismayed by this. We had to stay in a smoking room. I am horribly allergic to smoke, which made my stay more than uncomfortable. In addition the room was quite dirty. If we weren't so exhausted and if it hadn't been so late, we definitely would not have stayed the night. The bed was so soft that we felt like we were going to fall out of it each time we turned in our sleep. It was quite an unpleasant experience. And because we were on a smoking floor and not used to such, we were actually awoken in the middle of the night be the stench of smoke and were sure that the hotel was on fire! I would never ever stay there again. Points or not, we love Portsmouth, but will definitely stay in a different hotel the next time we go there. Also, the room was not cheap.
I am not likely
to return to the Fairfield Inn Portsmouth Seacoast.
I would not recommend it to friends.
