I liked those green rooms of that hotel. The desigin of hotel are pretty good. Nice restourant and fresh food. But expensive parcking ( 10 $ per night )

I am not a person who writes reviews after every trip. My experience with the Fairfield in Jamaica NY was so bad that I did want to warn other potential customers about it.
I went to NY on a leisure trip to meet up with my parents for the weekend. We called the hotel from the airport and we were placed on hold several times before the hotel clerk could speak to us. Finally after an hour of waiting the cold and windy NY weather, a black van arrived to pick us up. The van (so called hotel shuttle) had limited seating and not much trunk space. The van had a paper with Comfort Inn typed on it and below someone wrote with a pen Fairfield Inn. Not very visible. Keep in mind all other hotels had shuttle which were running more frequently and they had the hotel logo painted on them!
During our stay the house keeper forgot her blue rag in our room.
Before our departure, I asked the front desk person to have the shuttle driver bring all our luggage to the airport (since the shuttle was going to the airport any way and we were taking off from there). She refused even though I offered to provide her with information such as luggage ticket numbers, my room number and my credit card number) to verify my identity. So we returned from the city to the airport took the shuttle to the hotel. The shuttle could not fit all of us so I went by myself to pick up our luggage and they brought us back to the airport so we could go home. I rode in the shuttle on the floor just so we could save time and be at the airport at a reasonable time.
We finally made it home back safely and we will never return to a Fairfield Inn under these conditions.

I always stay at Hilton properties and I am a Diamond member. I booked the room at this Doubletree hotel to take advantage of room service, but I did not get it. I was displeased with the temperature of this room, the lack of a bedside clock and the color in the TV. However, I will continue to stay at other Hilton properties because I am completely satisfied most of the time.
The desk attendant was extremely personable and friendly. She used my name and she welcomed me to back to the hotel. She recognized that I was a returning guest.
I am very likely

First impressions are made by the staff manning the front desk-pleasant professional and was made to feel welcome. The restaurant serves tasty food with fair size portions and without that "overpriced hotel restarant" bill at the end of the meal. The complimentary service to the subway was a big plus.
