Extended Stay Deluxe Waltham Hotel

Great for longer stays, obviously. Great pool, very kid friendly. Staff is professional, helpful and went above and beyond helping me. Probably the best deal in Waltham.

They sell out of non-smoking rooms during the weekdays easily, so you need to make sure you request one from the moment you make your reservation. I stayed in a smoking room and it made me sick overnight from the odor - I only got 3 solid hours of sleep. There are burn marks all over the carpet and bedsheets. Even worse, when I turned on the water to take a hot shower in the morning, it released an even worse odor of stale urine in the tub or on the shower curtain. I felt so gross staying here.

I think if I had a non-smoking room, I would have enjoyed my stay much more. The bed feels springy so I don't call it a quality bed, but for a cheap and long trip, this place is okay. The room configuration is good, I felt like the bed was separate from the rest of the studio and felt cozy. The TV had a DVD player and the kitchenette has everything you need for a long stay. The walls are quite thick and even though I could hear my neighbor's TV in the hall, as soon as I stepped inside my room I couldn't hear it anymore.

One thing I was very disappointed about was the "continental breakfast." All they serve is coffee, tea, whole fruit, and plain bagels. I was at least hoping for some juice, maybe cereal and milk or some danishes, muffins, scones, just something else to add to the line. I guess if you're staying there a while, it might be better just to make your own breakfast in your little kitchenette.

Our stay was wonderful! The best place at a reasonable price in Rt. 128 area.

The kitchenette is a big help specially if you have a baby. My 7 month old baby slept without a fuss in the crib. The staff are very courteous and helpful.

We'll definitely recommend Extenday Stay in Waltham and looking forward to stay there again this Thanksgiving holiday.

Well, the wireless was slow but it did work. There is room for improvement on that point. The woman at the front desk was very helpful, the price was right, the room was comfortable. Not the best hotel we ever stayed in, but we already planned to return next year at this hotel because it was comfortable.

I had a very bad experience with the Waltham ESD, let me tell you the good news first.

The rooms are very nice, with comfortable beds, relatively new appliances and meticulous housekeeping.

The downsides are: office building construction right next door, their high-speed wireless was abyssmally slow(dial-up speeds), their air conditioners make a loud metallic snap evertime the compressor kicks on and the breakfast they offer consists of plain lenders bagels and horrible coffee.

An office bulding is being built right across the street, literally 200 ft away. Every morning at 6 AM, including saturday, I was awoken by dump trucks backing up, dumping loads and making a complete racket.(sounded like alarm clocks beeping and then small detonations as the lid on the dump body would slam open and shut).

The wifi is a known issue that they have been experiencing with their provider for weeks, I was counting on being able to do some online training videos, that never happened. Most nights I was lucky to even get onto MSN.

I checked out 2 other rooms after 3 sleepless nights, all of their air conditioners make that horrible snap sound, if you dont sleep like the dead, this will without a doubt affect your sleep.

Management was very understanding, and while they agreed to comp me for 2 nights, they raised the rates for the other nights by 45% to make up for it.

So there you have it, my 6-day experience at ESD of Waltham.
