Extended StayAmerica Rio Rancho Hotel - Page 1

The location was very good, close to many things. It was clean and comfortable. However, we booked a room for four people, two adults and two children, but our room only had one bed. The front desk clerk said we would have to pay more for another bed. We were trapped and we ended up paying extra, but we were upset because we had said that the reservation was for four people.

The staff was so nice when we arrived late that evening and the room was excellent! There’s plenty of parking, too!

Everything was fine. It was not posh, but it was very clean and that was what I liked the most. The location was very near the mall, restaurants and other businesses, so it was convenient. It was a little tricky getting to the hotel from the main street though, you had to turn on to a smaller street and approach the hotel from the backside.

I've stayed at both this Extended Stay, and the "Deluxe" Extended Stay, 1.5 miles north, on NM528 (across from Intel in Rio Rancho,) in the latter months of 2006.

For the difference in cost, choose the "lesser" Extended Stay. It lacks a few of the other's frills, but still has all that's needed. In my "one stay" (3 days each) experiences, I also found the staff more courteous, and eager to give assistance than at the more expensive "Deluxe."

Save yourself some money between these two Extended Stays. The lesser Extended Stay is closer to the Cottonwood Mall, and there are a variety of good restaurants within a mile of various offerings.
