Extended StayAmerica Fort Lauderdale Hotel - Page 1

This hotel is definitely not worth the rate charged to guests. The hotel room had a very pungent musty odor that is resistent to any form of deodorizer. Stained carpet with shoes under the bed which indicates that the room was not thorougly cleaned for the next guest. You are responsible for getting your own linen, towels, wash cloths and dish towels. There is no housekeeping service if guests are staying under 7 days eventhough the room rate is over $100.00 per night unless you are willing to pay $5.00 for the service. If you try to ask the desk clerks for information and they do not know the answer, their standard response was "I just moved here". The website states that the hotel has a pool, fitness and internet access. What is not mentioned is that you will have to go to the Extended Stay America Deluxe which is a bit of a ways down the street to gain access to these amenities. They are not available on the actual premises. I was disappointed with this Extended Stay and will not stay again. Very misleading on the internet and not worth the money.

It is tough to find. It is a bit noisy since it is on a freeway. The remote control did not work for the TV.

The hotel is in a good area. Don't expect the staff to jump up and do anything for you. The Hotel can be noisy at times. It is close to the interstate.

The location was central to my needs, the room was comfortable, but was not as clean as I might wish, and one bed pillow had no pillowcase. A restaurant of any level of service would have been appreciated.

A restaurant, even if limited, would have been a great improvement.
