I stayed for about a week in Jan 2007.
The staff was friendly, efficient, and very helpful with directions and promptly handling a problem. I requested a non-smoking room and was placed on the second floor, which is supposed to be entirely non-smoking. The hallway very much smelled like it was a smoking floor and it seemed as if I was next to a smoking room.
Things seemed better the next day, until the next evening when again the smoking odors began. I called to inquire if perhaps I was next to a smoking room (that's when I was told the entire floor was non-smoking). I was offered another room and the clerk on duty offered to help me move my stuff down the hall. This next room was right above the office and did not smell of smoke, although the hallway often did throughout my stay. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and quiet. The wireless internet was good, no problems, it was not slow. This hotel is located on Old Collamer, which is a street with about 12 hotels on it--and one restaurant, I think.
One can easily access freeways (once you figure out how the circle/rotary, that the hotel is off of, works!) There is a nice grocery store within a few miles, but the hotel really isn't that close to much else.
