Extended StayAmerica Brooklyn Center Hotel - Page 1

I drove 8 hours and arrived lat at 11 pm, but I had called earlier to let them know I was coming. I pulled to the curb to unload my luggage and was greeted by a security girl and a janitor sucking down cigarettes out front.

They started yelling loudly that I can’t park at the entrance because the courtesy van would be returning from the airport soon. I informed them I was not parked there I was just unloading my luggage and that I had a reservation and was going to check in. The security girl said "you will move that car now!" I told her again that I was just unloading my luggage and she became irate and said if I didn’t move my car she would call the police. I told her to F off I would get a room elsewhere.

Unreal as they had already charged my credit card and I had called ahead, "nice welcome". I was next door getting a room when the police arrived and informed me that 'You cant use the F word around here", they proceeded to charge me with disorderly conduct.

I am a business traveler for gosh sakes and I was completed trampled under foot. Summarily the charges were dropped after dumping $700 on a lawyer. Dozens of calls to the extended stay corporate and the local hotel yielded "No comment”.

I felt very welcome at Extended StayAmerica, I call the rooms my 'home away from home'.

This hotel made me feel respected: There is a karma about how the organization relates to customers.
