This hotel is, by far, the worst I've ever stayed in. I had the misfortune of being put up here for a week (May 17-24) on business. Where do I begin?! First impressions: the hotel itself smells like stale cigarette smoke, vinegar, and something fried. Once I got to my room via the painfully long corridor, I instantly smelled cigarette smoke even though, supposedly, I had been given a nonsmoking room. The carpet was rough and did not inspire cleanliness, especially along the walls where there was lots of filth. My bed was comprised of less-than-white 50/50 200 thread count sheets, a vellux blanket (we all know those never come clean, if they even get washed), and a very itchy and pilled up comforter. There was some kind of splatter stain on the wall near my bed. My phonebook was stuck firmly to the bottom of the nightstand drawer. The kitchenette did not have any dish soap or paper towels. One of the two plastic drinking cups was dirty in the bottom. I had one fork and two mismatched spoons. I found two dirty towels hanging behind my bathroom door. There were whiskers around my bathroom sink, and lots of brown scum and more whiskers behind the faucet. There were only 5 clothes hangers. The TV only got 15 channels (including 3 ShowTime), and the remote was filthy. I brought a DVD player, but there was no way to hook it up to the TV. Shame on me for assuming.
The parking situation is bad: when returning from work late at night there are minimal entrances near the parking areas. As a single female traveler, this is not safe. Furthermore, I received a lewd comment from a sketchy guy hanging around in the lobby one night. Oh, and this about sums it up: There was a bug in my bed. I lost sleep after finding it, lying awake, thinking surely I would bring an infestation of bedbugs into my own home. Luckily I didn't find any more bugs, but one is enough! Good riddance Extended Stay!
