I have stayed in hotels that were not particularly clean, like this one, and a bit decrepit, like this one, but I have never stayed in a hotel where the manager was disgusted to have guests stay their. I actually apologized to him for thinking that my patronage would be welcomed. He was extremely rude. Our request for an hour late check out was denied because the maid needed to get in the room -- the hotel was not full and it was a Sunday. I've never had a request for a late check out denied. To make matters worse, 30 minutes before check out, I was accosted by the staff demanding to know when I would get out. There were two towels for four people. When I went to the lobby to ask for two more, the manager continued a several minute conversation with a staff member, before angrily asking me what I needed. He grunted to the helper that she should go get me two pool towels. The coffee supplies were not replaced. The bathroom door was falling off. THERE WAS MOLD IN THE SHOWER!!! There were hairs stuck to the wall in the bathroom. The BEDS were hard as a rock. The bedspreads stained. The old shower rod apparently had fallen off and a new one put it in, but there were open holes in the wall. There was paint on the light fixtures, but not on parts of the wall. I suppose I might be angry too if I had to work in this wreck. There are other options very close. Check them out. You don't need to be treated like trash at any hotel.

When trying to discuss an issue with the manager, right away he started yelling at my guests and I, telling us the he is in control of everything and that he didnt want to hear what we wanted to discuss with him. I am a technical consultant that teaches "managing the customer experience" to companies throughout the west coast region, and I highly recommend that this persons manager send him to one of my courses or an alike course before the place looses any more business due to his lack of expertise and mannerism. Myself and the companies that I represent will never stay at this hotel again. The manager's attitude is highly unexceptable, especially to folks with standards.
