The Executive Inn is the place with an unbeatable location. It is known as the main gate to the Kentucky Exposition Center, and Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom. It is a 470 room resort-style hotel that stands apart from run of the mill chain hotels. In addition the hotel has a full service hair salon and a separate Barber Shop. Should you prefer not to use its Valet service, washer and dryers are available to our guests. Attractions within a two-mile radius are Churchill Downs Race Track, home of the Kentucky Derby, the Kentucky Derby Museum, the Speed Museum, the Louisville Zoo and the Planetarium.

This was one grand hotel in its day. We enjoyed the historic atmosphere with the fountains and chandeliers. It was very clean for its years and the employees were pleasant. It will only be here a short time as it will be torn down in December. It ...

This motel doesn't even deserve a rating! I felt like I stepped back in time in this motel. The staff was absolutely horrible in answering any questions we had. The doors in the bathroom had the wood paneling peeling off of it. There wa mold around...

47 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
Although this hotel is crying out "we are the 70'S", the location is perfect. A lot of memories were left here over the past 15 Kentucky Derby's as evident by all of the jizz stains on the bed spreads. I must admit that my DNA has been sprayed all over this lovely hotel. I'll miss you Executive Inn when they decide to remodel you with a bull dozer within the next few years.
The rooms where a little outdate, but clean and the hotel is a good location to downtown and the fairgrounds/Churchill Downs. You better hurry and stay here because the staff tells me it is being torn down in Dec. 2008.
