My recent stay at the Best Western Covington was the worst and nastiest place I've ever visited in my life. I've traveled around the country and abroad, and have never stayed in a hotel room where you had to buy cleaning supplies, in order to take a shower; walk or call the front desk for clean towels each day; search for soap to clean your body/face; and take out your own trash!
Not once, during our entire stay did anyone from the hotel staff clean our rooms or remove the accumulated trash! What was that? Then to add insult to injury, on the second day when we requested towels, the front desk clerk says, "We're out of towels, but we can wash and dry your towels and bring them back to you." What kind of hotel/motel runs out of towels?
This also leads me back to the point, that had the room been cleaned the staff would have known we needed these things; would have known we needed soap; would have known the tub had hair from the previous guest in it; and would have seen the mounting trash!
Even the check-out process was intolerable. The night auditor/clerk had computer malfunctions and could not find an alternative way to process the payment on the busiest weekend of the year. Also, the door was locked to the lobby at 6:15 am, but the sign says its locked until 6 am. The point of which the facility is not available to its customers during the stated times, it’s just unacceptable.
Trust me, we've already warned other family members and friends to stay away from this hotel chain, especially the one in Covington, Ga.
