21 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
Stayed there for only one night with my girlfriend on a weekend trip to Victoria. The location of the hotel is excellent - very central. Rooms were very clean and we didn't have any issues with our stay. Did not try the in-house restaurant. Our room did not have a good view, although we were on the 7th floor. The bed was moderately comfortable but I think the pillows were of the cheap variety.
Overall, I would recommend this hotel to others as a solid place to stay with not many extras at a reasonable price point. Happy travelling to all.
37 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for business
I checked it to this hotel with my two young children and myself after a long bus ride.I was disappointed that there was no one around to help me take my luggage up to my room so I had to carry 5 bags along with a 2 yr old and a 10 yr old.
I was asked if I would like a crib for my baby and I said that would be great. They brought up a play pen that was very dirty and then the housekeeper didnt know how to open it and seemed to be getting frustrated at me for wanting one.
On check in I was told I needed to leave a deposit and that was ok but when they used my credit card to take it out they took out more than the amount they said the deposit was.I found this out because I knew exactly how much credit I had on my card and when I got up to my room I checked the balance with the "mastercard" operator.I did not ask them about this because it all evened out when I checked out but I was confused with this and not sure if this is a common practise or maybe a mistake.
On a positive point they did call me a taxi at the appointed time and did bring me a free newspaper. On the other hand I was not told about any of the Hotels perks such as if they had a pool or gym or where their resteraunt was or anything.
I do plan on staying there one more time to see if this was just caught them on a bad day or if this is really how they run their Hotel.
