The hotel was very nice. The room was above my expectations. It was in walking distance of restaurants.

The place was super clean and considered luxury but there were no vending machines, coffee makers or any way of even getting a drink and a snack after five o'clock in the afternoon. There was not even a restaurant. There was one bottle of water in the room. I just think they need to take better care of their after hours guests.

The Excelsior Hotel on New York's upper west side is a pretty good value. The location is perfect, it’s directly across the street from the Museum of Natural History & Central Park. There’s a lot to do in the neighborhood if you are traveling with kids. The rooms are large and comfortable.
