Our experience at this cabin was the worst we have ever had staying anywhere. Our first day there after we had been seeing the local sights, we were accused of breaking pool cues and were told we would be charged for them. We were not guilty of this. The cabin was called the Lazy Lodge and the name fit. There was dust under all the tables and along the baseboards about an inch thick. It had backed-up sinks, 7 broken windows, shower knobs that fell off in your hands, an unusable fireplace, broken laundry facilities, loose toilet seats that took you for a ride when you sat on them, no sheets for the futons or trundle beds and the kitchen light flickered when you touched the switch. We were told by the owner's son that the shower had backed up in the master suite and it smelled like sewage. The towels and sheets that were on the beds were all soured. After returning home, we were then charged for a missing Dirt Devil charger and ruining 4 towels with bleach even though there were no laundry facilities. Out of our original one night deposit, they kept around $90.00. We recommend you do not stay at this hotel.

This place has the best location in Chimney Rock. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the owners are friendly and strive to be helpful in anyway that they can. Guests can grill and eat out on the picnic tables, swing and read, or explore arou

My family stays every year..this place has a great backyard right on the Rocky River, its soo relaxing and pretty affordable. You can have a campfire on the river bank and when you get tired, just go back up into your room, its so cool.

my husband and I stayed here as we had before but the room we reserved... the fishing hole room was very very musty and the bed was so soft we both had hurting backs in the morning. The motel itself is an excellent location its the first one going into chimney rock. just dont get that room.

Excellent
All Review Photos A beautiful place to relax. Right on the bank of the Rocky Broad River. Listen to it all night. Peaceful. The rooms are no frills. The room we were in had a king-size bed, dresser, small private outdoor deck. Personal parking spot....

Our first visit there was awesome, with a second floor view of the river and cool breezes all evening. But the next time, we had a ground floor room with a bad experience involving the septic tank being pumped out all morning, not the ambiance we had hoped for.
