Excellent
55 year old with a economy budget, traveling for leisure

Wonderful place to stay, easy to be prepared to go out and enjoy the beach. Joe is the greatest, always ready to help with a friendly smile. Want to know where to stay? This is it! Everything you need in the Apt. We stayed in April and was very pleased, our best vacation ever with no problems. Joe works hard at providing a quality stay for you, we just can't say enough good things about our stay.

62 year old with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

March 2009 was our first visit. Joe & Melabeth were excellent hosts and provided everything we needed. We like the smaller family owned condo/apartments as you get to know your neighbors and make new friends. Especially during Happy Hour in the enclosed courtyard. Located in a residential area you are close to the beaches, restaurants, etc. without all of the traffic. Our condo was very nice and fully furnished. We have already made reservations for March 2010.

I am very likely to return to the Englewood Bay Motel & Apartments.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

Our Englewood vacations go back 12 years, Originally recomended by a friend who is a six month resident. Now it"s ny turn to recommend it as a great vacation spot. We were lucky to find ENGLEWOOD BAY MOTEL and highly recommend it for the friendly atmosphere, cleanliness, and super folks who work there. Joe & Melabeth were always available and helpful. The courtyard was always a gathering place and we met many wonderful new friends. The laundry room was a plus, so don't pack too many clothes. Our efficiency was spacious and very well stocked with necessities.

Great Accommodations! – Posted Jul 31, 2008

Excellent
54 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

Our accommodations were very comfortable, clean and affordable. The kitchen was well equipped and the efficiency was nicely furnished. It’s conveniently located close to Lemon Bay and not far from Boca Grande. We enjoyed the fishing immensely and brought back our fish to grill in the courtyard. We visit Southwest Florida twice a year and have now found a great place that we will definitely return to again and again.

Excellent
37 year old male with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

I rented for a short stay with my wife and two year old child. The room was spacious and clean, and Joe the owner really took care of us. Our room had two bedrooms, kitchen and living and dining areas and was perfect to keep the kid separated during naps and early bedtimes. I found no other place in the area with so much space, and it would be perfect for a comfortable extended stay.

Good
48 year old female with a economy budget, traveling for leisure

What a great hidden treasure. Comfortable & clean. Close to the beach and Old Englewood village. A block from Lemon bay. Close to shopping. The 2 bedroom was perfect for 2 traveling sister in laws on a girls only beach vacation. The Outdoor court yard was great for grillin and visting with other guests. Met them from all over US & World. Beautiful well maintained grounds. Joe and staff made us feel at home. We would recommend to anyone looking for a very reasonable retreat. We will definitly love to go back. Inground pool would have been the icing on the cake !!!!

Great value on the Gulf – Posted Apr 15, 2008

Good
55 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

We needed a break from Vermont’s endless winter and its worst flu season ever, and so we decided last-minute to book an economical and restful week on the Gulf Coast. If you’re looking for low-key, high-value respite, you can’t beat Englewood. Nestled between Venice and Boca Grande, Englewood has a small town, real Florida feel. The beaches of Manasota Key are terrific, and Dearborn Street boasts a nice selection of local area businesses. We stayed at Englewood Bay Motel and Apartments, with host Joe Grippi, who provided a wealth of useful tips regarding area activities and resources. Our accommodations were spacious, comfortable, and clean. You’ll want a car to get to and from the beaches, but we loved our stay and found everything we could want or need in the local environs. For a wonderful jewel hidden amongst its glitzier neighbors, try the town of Englewood, and specifically, the Englewood Bay Motel and Apts and Mangos Bistro.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom condo style apartment for a week at Christmas time 2007. Very clean, comfortable, nicely furnished and the kitchen had everything for cooking. Such friendly and accomodating owners made the stay even more enjoyable. This is located on a quite street you can walk across to watch the sunset and we even saw dolphins in the channel one evening. I will definitely return when I have the opportunity and possibly bring the whole family. Regards, Lynn from Michigan

I loved everything about this place. It's clean, quiet, comfortable, affordable and close to the beaches and fine eating establishments. Not quite the rat race of the larger cities. It is probably what we would call people friendly.

Great Value--you won't go wrong here! – Posted Nov 02, 2007

Englewood Bay Motel and Apartments is a place you can stay and be assured you will find your accommodations to FAR exceed what your cost will be. I stayed there a week in October of ’07 and was very pleasantly surprised with how neat, clean and comfortably furnished I found my efficiency to be. there is a laundry, large gas grill for use on site and did I mention there is even free wi fi. I am a single lady who likes to travel and felt safe the entire time. The areas beautiful gulf beaches, parks, variety of grocery stores and wal-mart are all within easy access. The owner is so very nice and helpful; making you feel as though you were a returning guest and not a “first timer”. By the way, I also stayed a week recently at his other location close by on Manasota Key—called Turtle Bay —condo with pool, beach, and private dock access on Lemon Bay. A little more costly than Englewood, but sooo very worth it! ask the owner of Englewood about this location if you want a little piece of heaven right here; you won’t go wrong at either place!

happy travels---Anna from Georgia
