We stayed just one night at the Enchantment in January 2007, and happened to hit some cold weather, making the outdoor amenities of the resort unusable, but we found the array of activities endless.
The resort offered an extensive daily schedule of classes and events, ranging from wine tasting, to trail hikes to yoga classes. They also had a lovely outdoor heated pool, bocce ball and croquet field, tennis courts and an amusing little pitch and putt golf course.
I had a service in the Mii Amo Spa, and received attentive care, trying their signature Blue Corn Polish ($135) and it was very nice. Their prices were probably comparable to other resort spas I've visited.
The location of the Enchantment is outside Sedona in a fabulous setting, with beautiful red rock spires and formations, caves nestled in the canyon walls, and it’s especially captivating at night. We would like to return for a longer stay in springtime when the weather will be better.
I would have to say the room rates seemed expensive at the resort, for the somewhat rustic nature of the rooms. We stayed in a King casita room at the reduced price of $295, and it did come with robes and I liked the special touches, the ceramic accessories, real coffee mugs, and bathroom soap dishes.
We were treated very cordially from check-in to check-out. The staff was professional and service-oriented. On check-in we were greeted by a pleasant bell-captain who gave us a tour of the facility before taking us to our casita.
All in all, we would return again.
