Empress Oceanfront Hotel

Was impressed by the view when I checked the photos on their web page. Was shocked when I entered the room. Old curtains and bed covers, TV didn't work, no telephone available in the room. There wasn't hot water to shower, they have a solar system and the sun wasn't shinning for several days. I found roaches crawling around the night table and in the bathroom, the elevator sounded awful. When I complain to the owner he told me I was visiting an island and insects were common in facilities. By the way the owner was dressed, I understood why the facilities where in such bad shape. He was wearing a discolored silk shirt with ripped on the back. I hope some had taken over this hotel. The location is great I give it a 10 but the facilities are in need of lots of TLC. I hope this was taken care of.
