Horrible
41 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure

My husband and I stayed for two weeks at Queens Valley Hotel Luxor.

Within the first five days of our stay we were moved three times to different rooms either because things didn’t work or the builders or plumbers needed to gain access to our room.

On the seventh night, the manager rang our room at 11 pm to ask if we were going to pay our bill as he said the staff needed paying. My husband told him we still have another seven days left and would pay at the end of our stay.

The following day we were asked again, so we paid in full just to be left alone. Our room (rooms) were supposed to be cleaned daily with fresh linens and towels. But we found they only turned the sheets around for the whole time we were there, but did give us clean towels some days one, others four, and some none.

The owner’s son told us he didn’t agree with us booking over the Internet as the hotel would have charged us more. We found the lifts didn’t work, so used the stairs to the pool on seventh floor, only to find floors five and six didn’t exist and were a building site, full of rubble bricks and I have the film to prove it.

We went through the door next to the lift in the lobby to find the kitchen is also a building site. The staff couldn’t care less the words they use most are “I don’t understand you”. They do speak English, but choose to speak Arabic, as they can’t be bothered.

They tried to get more money off us before we left an extra 50 pounds. They list a huge amount of non-existent facilities. The photos look good but don’t be deceived it really is the worst hotel already falling down and has been built for less than a year.

Avoid this place like the plague!
