More than What I was Expecting

The staff was super friendly and it was a very quiet place to stay considering how big it is. There was plenty of room for me & my fiance. Had a full kitchenette, refigerator, plenty of closet space, and very comfy bed. The only downside was that there weren't enough hangers in the closet, the disposal had a weird smell (only when you let water go down that side) and the t.v. in the room didn't have the cable cord (we were hardly in the room...too busy @ the casinos).

Stood at the Emerald Suite for the first time, usually stay in the casinos but wanted to try something away from the crowds but close enough to the fun and I found the suites to be big for the price, its brand new, the front desk people were very accomodating and the location was awesome. I am definately staying there from now on.

Stayed here last year and checked in at 12 pm hoping to get a room early but front desk stated that they do not have a room ready yet but will reserve us a non-smoking room as requested and that when we come back at 3 or 4, they will have the room ready. Came back later at 330 and front desk attendant was a different person from that morning and stated that because we got there late, they no longer have a non-smoking room available for us. It is a good thing that we only booked for one night because the room was dirty and smelly, the carpet was horrible that you don't even want to walk on them, plus the bathroom was disgusting. The toilet cover did not match the toilet seat. We stayed almost until 4 in the morning that day because we did not want to sleep in the room and we were happy to check out the next day. Even though I mentioned to the staff about the misunderstanding and the assurance given to us about getting our room that we requested, they did not offer any apologies and stated that, that attendant that we spoke to earlier that day should have not promised us about reserving and having the room ready for us.

I read the reviews AFTER my school had already paid for our 7 rooms for a week. I was terrified when I got here thinking that it was going to be horrible. I reminded my students before we left that much like when you go to a fast food restaurant, you can't expect superb service for 50-some bucks a night. We were prepared for the worst. But this really has been a pretty good week. They kept the rooms clean. The pool is nice. The problems have been few. It took a while to get used to the air conditioners. We couldn't find the "just right" temp in any room. We had a choice between freezing our asses off or sweating our asses off. The ac was also a little loud. I am probably in about 14 different hotels in a year, and this place isn't five star, but you are getting a decent place for the price. They need to improve their key situation. They will only give one key per room. My guess is that someone decided to try this new type of key (one I've never seen) and it was a miserable failure.

Would not recommend this place to anyone

Advertisements for this place make it sound good but it is one of the most disgusting places I have ever stayed! To begin with, our son was kept waiting in the lobby for three hours because the phone was unplugged and we were not getting any messages (and, of course, WE did not think to pull out the couch and check to see if the phone was plugged in.) The windows were only covered with slat-blinds which did not close properly, so anyone could walk by and look right in. The couch was worn and dirty; they left a note saying they were going to replace it but did not. Two bedrooms but only one bath was inconvenient. There were three of us but each day, the housekeeper only left two sets of towels. The place was dark and dismal: there were only two very small bedside lamps in bedroom and one floorlamp in living room so very poor lighting. This was a horrible place and I would not recommend it to anyone.

I would not even have my worst enemy stay there!!!!! The couch was very dirty, had a very bad smell, you really don’t have room to breath. Not close to anything and to walk somewhere is unreal, no street lights, not walkways. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone. I had to pay one night stay in order to cancel the rest of the weekend.

Disgusting and dirty. Dark streets, next door to a gas station. Nothing nearby. Pricey cab ride to the Strip. Nothing even nearby. Looks nothing like the pictures. Paid the cancellation fee and for one night so that I could leave to go stay somewhere else! Not worth saving a few bucks over!

I stayed with 3 kids and the bedroom gave us space to spread out, plus having a kitchen saved us quite a bit. It was great having 2 tvs too! I had problems with the computer hook up, but within 30 min they had it fixed. The staff was very friendly. For the price it was great. I paid $70/night.

At this and other motels, they desire your driver’s license info, picture etc., in order to make it available for the law enforcement, so they say in order to hold down the riff-raff. A friend had his identity stolen at a motel, not necessarily this one, while he was there recently utilizing data apparently from this practice.

The service was professional. The interior carpeting, furniture, and flooring was simply tragic! The bed was very uncomfortable. The place is a 1.5 star, max. The price was good.

The problem I had was with billing. I stayed at the per week rate. Even when you pay the bill ahead they mess up the bill and get you when your are leaving.

The hotel is a very large complex with many buildings. It has a good price and is a comfortable place to stay.
