We stayed here as part of a wedding party during the weekend of my sister-in-laws wedding. So, they knew well in advance that a large group was coming for this wedding. The hotel had literally just opened a few days before, and they had NOT worked out all the kinks yet.
My feeling is, once you open the doors, you should be ready for business, but a lot of things went wrong, and they just kept saying "well, we just opened." Honestly, I don't care, unless you are going to charge me less because "you just opened." The air conditioning in our room didn't work (its a new hotel!!) which, in Tucson, is a serious issue. The room keys didn't work on the locks on the hallway doors, so we had to find a security person to let us onto our hall every night. The breakfast buffet was nice, but if you came late, they were pretty much out of everything.
Its a nice hotel, and if they can get their service issues worked out, I think it will be a good place to stay (despite being in a poor location), but based on my experiences, they have a lot of work to do, especially in the service department.
