Stayed there 7 days so I got a good feel for the hotel operation. Staff was friendly, although at times they seemed somewhat inept. I could not get a flickering light fixed. I reported it 5 days in a row to no avail. There are only two elevators located in the center and the stairs are at opposite ends of the bldg. We checked-in at the exact time that one of the elevators malfunctioned (lucky us). It ended up trapping the occupants for over 40 minutes who had to be helped out of the elevator which was stuck between floors. Both elevators are on the same circuit, so it meant they had to take both out to restore service. I lugged bags up five floors to our room. The elevator failed two days later and this time I was on it. We were stuck for 20 minutes while they sorted things out. This seemed to happen every several days (not very encouraging). The room was nice but there were several irritating things - like NO towel bars of any kind in the bathroom (how could you forget that item?) and the midget refrigerator had no temp setting and kept items cool but not cold. The made-to-order breakfast was pretty good but you had to get there early because the line got long and the wait times with it. VERY noisy at night in the living room area of the suite due to the fact that the bar was in the center of the atrium and voices would echo loudly throughout the atrium. This went on until the bar closed. Overall the hotel was okay but I don't think that I would go back, they even charged for WIFI. I refuse to pay for WIFI, so I located a free WIFI signal from Famous Johnnie's nearby. The speed was terrible but hey it was free! Next time I will stay at Drury Inn and save some bucks!

When we where moving they let us keep our puppies with us.

They where the only hotel around that would let us have our puppies in the room. The woman at the desk was very sweet about it.

The hotel was nicer then expected. The staff was very helpful in all areas. It looked like they were in the middle of upgrading since some of our room furniture was in very good shape and other furniture was stained and torn. Our air stopped working and someone came to fix it right away but never returned to reinstall the cover.

They referred to me by name and were seemed genuinely concerned with me well being. At the front desk they were very attentive. While I was at the front desk and the phone rang he very politely excused himself, answered the phone, politely asked them to hold, and then continued to speak to me.

The small amount of selections and temperature of the breakfast offerings was not as expected.

The down-home casualness of the place for the price paid seemed practical and sensible.

I liked the breakfast buffet, the suite-type room and the wet bar in the room.

Everything I needed was there and it was excellent.

They had great rooms for work and sleep. We liked the two TV's so both of us could watch and work as we wanted.

My co-workers and I could hang out in the lounge to socialize and no pressure was ever made for us to order cocktails or order from the restaurant when we just wanted to sit and chat.

The service was exceptional and the hotel was located centrally. I highly recommend that you spend a little bit extra and enjoy the great hospitality of Embassy Suites.
