50 year old man with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
Before planning your family gathering, party, wedding, etc., please consider that the management of this facility called me 24 hours before a 60-person birthday party to tell us the atrium was "No longer available."
Instead of the atrium that we worked with their people on planning decorations, etc., we would have a back ballroom "pursuant to the contract, which allows us to reassign these events." There was no competing event, they simply wanted the atrium open for guests since the hotel was at a higher occupancy than they had planned.
Of course, with only 48 hours prior to such an event, we had no choice, we could not cancel and go elsewhere and they knew it. They offered no reasoning except that the services contract allows it! They inferred that the woman who arranged the party with us, took our deposit 4-5 weeks prior to the event, and still works at the hotel somehow didn't know?
