74 year old man with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
A bowl of apples at the registration desk signifies friendly hospitality to this pair of teachers, who stayed at the Embassy Suites for four nights in March 2008. Everyone we dealt with was cheerful, polite, accommodating. We were upgraded to a Hudson River view without asking, although we were paying under $300/night (taxes included). Generous breakfast and evening reception. Quiet location, 4 blocks from subway E train, which connects to the JFK Airtrain. One block north on North End Ave are a pharmacy and a health food grocery. A short walk to lots of restaurants on Greenwich St. Warning: walls are thin, gaps below doors are too wide-- pray for quiet neighbors.
