A bowl of apples at the registration desk signifies friendly hospitality to this pair of teachers, who stayed at the Embassy Suites for four nights in March 2008. Everyone we dealt with was cheerful, polite, accommodating. We were upgraded to a Hudson River view without asking, although we were paying under $300/night (taxes included). Generous breakfast and evening reception. Quiet location, 4 blocks from subway E train, which connects to the JFK Airtrain. One block north on North End Ave are a pharmacy and a health food grocery. A short walk to lots of restaurants on Greenwich St. Warning: walls are thin, gaps below doors are too wide-- pray for quiet neighbors.

Boeing767 icon Don't miss this one!

We have stayed at this hotel perhaps a half a dozen times in the past three years; we have yet to be disappointed. As others have mentioned, there is the free cooked-to-order breakfast that comes standard with all Embassy Suites properties, along with the afternoon cocktail hour.

However, this hotel really gets it's reputation from the stellar service provided there. The front desk staff is always friendly and helpful (although this past month, the concierge seemed a bit overworked and grumpy), they always smile, they do their best to accommodate all requests.

The location is absolutely lovely ... it is a four block walk to the Chambers St. subway, but that is the beauty of it: no crowds. If you like the hustle and bustle of Times Square, then the ES is not for you - stay away! For people like me who like the relative tranquility of a residential neighborhood, then this place is paradise. It is true that most of the river view rooms have been obstructed by new construction across North End Ave, but there are still a couple left, and they are stunning.

The drug store and restaurants nearby make it convenient to keep all activity in the area should one be so inclined.

I hope this place maintains the level of service always.

I went to New York because a friend of mine is having her business trip out there, The embassy suite is worth every penny, There were free breakfast and evening cocktails for all guests, Plus if you're a AAA member you save even more so type in your AAA number before your reservation on the direct website. This hotel exceeded my expectations, The lobby was so nice and there's a rose garden in front of the hotel, You can see the Statue of Liberty from the hotel, the views are spectacular, the rooms were every spacious and the sofa bed was luxurious, The hotel used Egyptian cotton sheets for the sofa bed, it was the nicest sofa bed I had ever seen, My room was upgraded to executive and everything looks brand new, since the hotel was built in 2000 and renovated in 2004, The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, I am a very picky person and I think this is the best place to stay in NY, There's also a mall that opened across the street form the hotel, It has the best convenient store as big as CSV(Savon), stay here and you won't regret it, I really enjoyed my stay and will stay here again next time I am in NY, Thanks Embassy Suites for making my stay so wonderful.
