Even though we had a problem with our reservation, the hotel staff could not have been better! They went out of their way to make up for the on-line reservation problem.

Hey, we had problems here too about 6 months ago. We complained and the manager just about threw us out. They seem to think they are wonderful and anyone that doesn' agree is expected to shut up or leave. Truly bizarre. Everything in these other reviews is true. Really nice lobby and this covered center court area looks impressive. Nothing else about this place is. Service is marginal to poor, rooms are smaller than most, a lot of amenities but the quality and usefulness is low. Trying to be a fancy budget hotel which doesn't work so now their prices are a little high and except for the expensive outside areas -- the rooms and service don't match up with that. I would rather pay for a plain standard lobby and have a nice room. What use is a fancy fish pond when the only closet is only 18 inches wide and the bathroom is smaller than my 1/2 bath at home! But don't tell the manager or he'll freak out on you. That's probably what happened in the pictures -- they probably complained there wasn't enough butter on their toast so the manager called 911. lol

Other reviewers are correct. We stayed here in October 07. They claim family friendly, but this is really a singles golf / sometimes business hotel. Nothing positive for families at all. Bad location, bad service, bad management who boast about the Manager's reception where people who are claustrophobic can get out of their closet sized room for a few minutes and get free alcohol by stroking the managers ego -- wooo hooo! What fun! Give us a break. We were so disappointed we wrote Mobil's Travel Guide to reconsider especially their listing this as a "family friendly" location. That maybe what the hotel wants to say to book rooms, but that is far from reality. Even the only golf tournament they hosted has left and gone elsewhere. They apparently used to be a nice hotel, but not any longer -- I'd book elsewhere as there are tons of new hotels, many suites hotels, in and around Greenville and a lot better prices too!
