They could not locate my car and they were not apologetic about it at all. They were simply rude and for the price I would most definitely expect much better service. Therefore I shall not be back!
I am not likely
to return to the Embassy Suites Des Moines - On the River.
I would not recommend it to friends.

I arrived at this hotel with a group of 25, but due to another group not checking out on-time, there were only seven rooms available. After about an hour, we finally had everyone in a room or shuttle to a nearby hotel. The manager wrote us a note of apology and I couldn't have asked for better service throughout our week in town. The staff definitely took what could have been an awful week and made it very positive.
The hotel was incredibly close to the theatre we were performing at, but on a whole, there was not much to do in Des Moines.
An added bonus was the free happy hour hosted downstairs. I was never able to attend due to my work schedule, but members in my group definitely appreciated it.

Mediocre
Rooms have seen better days, but at least they're pretty clean. Food is awful and service is lacking. Could be a good deal for families on a budget in need of larger rooms, but won't ever be my first choice.
