Horrible
We were promised a discounted rate by this hotel, and they did not honor their promise! The front desk staff was very rude in addition to an unhelpful manager. It ruined our anniversary. The room was subpar, not nicer that any other hotel you would...

I liked the free breakfast and I liked the large suite with two TVs. I didn't like the managers reception and I didn't like having to pay extra for parking. That should have been included in the rate quoted.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the Embassy Suites-Chicago.
I might recommend it to friends.

The location was fine. It was near my meetings. A few years ago I stayed in an Embassy Suites and I was looking forward to staying at one again. I especially remembered the friendly staff, the wonderful breakfast buffet, and I'm not a breakfast person, and the design of the room. This time the staff was indifferent, not really friendly, but not rude either. The breakfast was a disappointment. The pancakes, waffles, and French toast were all frozen and reheated in a microwave oven like piece of equipment. The omelets were okay, they were more like scrambled eggs with cheese. I'm not sure that they could have handled a request like a western omelet. The presentation was disappointing too. I'm sure that I was jaded by the wonderful experience that I had in the Chicago area a few years before at a similar hotel, same chain just a different location. Having said that I wouldn't avoid the hotel due to the breakfast. The alarm clock in the bedroom was dysfunctional, it would not allow you to set it to wake to radio. The only function that worked was waking to this awful buzzing noise. The remote control for the TV and internet was also defective. Sometime it would allow you to surf the channels up and down and at other times it would just ignore the request. At one point, we tried to view the hotel services and internet functions and the remote keyboard would not function at all. I also found it amazing in this day that the hotel charged for its internet service especially when I paid approximately three hundred dollars per night at that hotel. Many hotel chains are offering free internet. On the positive side, I loved the pillows and bedding. It was one of the most comfortable beds that I've ever slept on. The pillows were even more comfortable than my own.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the Embassy Suites-Chicago.
I might recommend it to friends.

I liked the location as it was close to everything I needed, especially good restaurants. The staff was courteous and quickly fixed any problems I had. I loved the breakfast in the morning.
The cost was reasonable and I didn't feel pushed or overly pressured for anything.
I am very likely
to return to the Embassy Suites-Chicago.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.
