Elkhorn Lodge Motel - Page 1

We were guests at the Lodge for the month of May. We had just adopted a 2 months old puppy (Blaze) and, of course, took her with us. They advertise being "pet friendly" but so do a lot of accomodations. To our surprise and delight, the staff took friendly to another level. The grounds were well kept--no scat--which is especially important as they had BBQ's and beautiful wrought iron/mosaic tables and wrought iron chairs placed strategically around the grounds for your use. I would take Blaze out to the 'grounds' and hooked her up to the chair (with an extra long lead-line) where she could run around and not be injured or break anything. The staff made it a point to play with her every time they passed. Now that IS HOSPITALITY.

On our trip up there we stayed at several motels and none of them even came close to the Elkhorn Lodge. If you are thinking of a trip up to northern Idaho for any reason whatsoever, I strongly suggest that you put the Elkhorn at the top of your list as A MUST STAY.

Oh, yes, they treated us royally too. We will go back!!!
