Good
The Elan Modern is a nice hotel, not as posh as the photos may make it seem. It is a good deal for the location 2 blocks from the Beverly Center. No swimming pool, bar or restaurant, although you can order from diner across the street. We drove...
32 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
LA, especially West Hollywood, isn't known for going out of their way to help-out people but guys at the front desk we're really helpful (calling cabs, scoop on local hotpots, driving directions etc.) Overall good vibe, clean/modern rooms, great brunch, comfortable place to hang...

The hotel on the outside looks like a motel. However inside you won't find a friendlier staff anywhere. They answer immediately to whatever need you have. We found the rooms clean and the breakfast terrific.
I left some valuable jewelry there - it was still there and sent to me by the manager. If I were visiting LA again I would stay there in a minute.

The room was tiny and the elevator was rusty and moldy. There were mold stains on the ceiling tiles throughout the halls. The bathroom is nice and big and well stocked with nice soaps, etc. and robes. One day at five p.m., we found that our room had not been visited by housekeeping. The front desk told us they would take care of it and give us turn own service. At nine p.m. we returned to our room and found the door was left open by housekeeping, nothing was missing, and at least the room was cleaned.
I am not likely
to return to the Elan Hotel Modern.
I would not recommend it to friends.

It was bad. The halls smelt weird, there was mold on the elevators' ceiling tiles, the room was very small. But the bathroom was big and it had wonderful soaps and lotions.

to return to the Elan Hotel Modern.

This hotel gave me a great experience when i stayed, in the room very confortable and nice. The service of the staff very kind and polite. I would like to go back sometime.
