female with an economy budget, traveling for leisure
I stayed 7 nights in one of the vintage rooms and I do not smoke. It was great and large. You would never know it was a smoking room, no oder at all. Had a hang-over one day, no one bothered me. When I did get up (after 5 PM) to get something to eat in coffee shop, came back to my room after only 1/2 hour, my room was spotless. I did not even know the maid knew I left! Will stay here again!!!!!

The front desk clerks were rude and so unprofessional. They over booked the night I was checking in. So, instead of being given the room I had pre booked I was told the only room available was a downgrade to the vintage rooms. Yuck. They are tiny, smelly and defiantly not the quality of room that I booked online a week in advance. They treated me as if I was an inconvenience to them and the general manager did nothing to rectify this situation when I made him aware of how rude his staff was. It was a total waste of time to even let him know. Infact it only made the front desk clerks treat me even worse. (dirty looks, refusing to help me specifically, deny me a receipt.)

There were a group of morons trying to check in ahead of me that acted like they had ever been checked into a motel before. So the clerk finally moved me ahead of them and upgraded my room at no extra charge. The room was clean and nice with a...

Reserved one of the vintage rooms accessible from the stairway. It was a smoking room and there was a slight stale smoke odor, but nothing bad. Super clean and nicely decorated. Not a large room or bathroom, but very adequate. The cafe was very...

Excellent
We stayed on two occasions - May 2008 & August 2008. Both times, we were treated like royalty. One of the best features is the cleanliness of the casino. It doesn't have that "casino smell" that so many do, of recycled cigarette smoke and...
pros: The Price Was RightIt?s Classic old Vegas hotel that is still privately owned. It has lost of history and used to be own by Buggy Segal in the early 1940?s. I asked for a smoking room and all the smoking rooms are conceded the ?vintage...

Okay
This is more or less what you think of with downtown, older hotels. Pretty nice, but eclipsed by its more nicely renovated neighbors. The registration is a single step from slot machines. Steakhouse, buffet and coffee shop. Modestly priced rooms...
I liked the single deck blackjack but some locals were pushy about having me do the game-slowing sidebet. Room was large and clean. Comps were pretty generous. Food in cafe was very tasty. Dealers not good at English. Great valet with free...
