The El Castell Motel is a short drive from downtown Monterey and all of the Monterey Peninsulas main attractions. Our rooms are fresh and updated regularly providing quality amenities for the leisure traveler or busy businessman. Free parking, free wireless internet, a free Continental Breakfast and a Guest Laundry are just some of the property amenities. Close at hand are several types of restaurants, Del Monte Shopping Center with several stores such as Macys, Whole Foods and several specialty shops, in addition to easy entrance-exit from the Highway 1 freeway. The motel is convenient to golfing, the beach, activities and all events on the Monterey Peninsula.

The room we got smelled terrible and the door enrties and doors were dirty! they looked as if they had never been clean! the smell was unbearable so we asked to change rooms. The second room was better, just averge. One of the beds was extreamy...

Horrible
don't ask for extra pillows, because they don't have any. When I had called the office for 1 more pillow, they were stunned and didn't even know what I was talking about. The rooms at motel 6 are bigger than the rooms they have here. ...
pros: Newly refurbished, waffles, wifi, fridge, micro, largeVery nice large room, but no coffee maker and no clock. Refrigerator and microwave were appreciated. Our room was in the back building and was quiet. Beds were good.
