We took our children, 4 and 1, to the water-park to celebrate our oldest sons birthday. My parents got there before us and they were able to get into our room, with our permission, to decorate it so by the time we got there everything was ready for the surprise. We spent two nights there in the 2 room suite which was great. It was a very clean room with all the amenities we needed having two children. It was a little bit of a walk from our room to the water-park which was fine because it just added to the anticipation. Once in the park it was great for all ages. Big water-slides for the older kids, a whole area designated for littler kids like mine and a hot tub for the parents to unwind in. The deli is right in the pool area so you didn't have to leave to get something to eat or drink. The arcade was a fun way to pass the time when the water-park was closed in the afternoon. The mini golf course could use a little work but it was still fun.
We spent Sun-Tues so there wasn't that many people to contend with. All the employees that we encountered were very courteous and willing to help. This was our second trip to the hotel/water-park. If it wasn't a good experience the first time there wouldn't have been a second. We are actually in the works for planning our third. Great family hotel!!
We booked at the edge water Express in august 2009, when we checked in at the desk we were told that they had up grade us to the resort. The room had two queen bed and sofa sleeper and got extra passes for the water park.

We REALLY enjoyed our stay at the Edgewater Resort and Waterpark. The price was reasonable and the accomodations were excellent--great for families. Our kids cannot wait to go there again!
First I would like to say that we are very avid travelers, both in and out of the country so I want to take the time and effort that a proper review deserves. Due to the negative comments on this site, we were hesitant of our stay here and we are g

Excellent
Even though the rooms are mediocre I would still recommend staying here especially if you get a room that outlooks the lake. I also recommend this place for weddings. My husband and I had our reception here and it was absolutely gorgeous and their...
The Edgewater staff is absolutely amazing at dealing with some of the crabby, stuck up, 'wanna be royalty' people that comes to the Edgewater. I have been a guest for almost 20years. In my experience, I have seen people make ridiculous...
