The place may have been bearable except for one major thing- our sheets were dirty! One had a big, black rub mark on it like someone dried their shoe off on it, and the other looked like someone had squashed a bug on it. (That was right next to the place where someone tried to sew a huge tear in the sheet.)

Since there were not fitted sheets, my husband and I chose the cleanest looking sheets from both the beds and made up our own bed. I didn't even want to sleep on top since the blankets had cigarette burn holes in them.

Don't try to carry on any private conversations in these rooms. My in-laws were staying in the next room and I was able to carry on a conversation with my mom-in-law while we put on our makeup in our own respective bathrooms. (No, these room were not connected in any way.)

No alarm clocks in the room made it difficult to tell the time since my watch battery died. No phones either. Yet, all the rooms have cable. Go figure...

That being said, they did take $10 off our bill for the dirty sheet episode.

Been going her since I was a kid. Beautiful place, friendly staff, family owned. Quite location, located right on the lake, you couldn’t ask for a more relaxing time. There is a little restaurant right on premise, or a few other nice places down the road. It's a short drive to Rutland, which makes for a nice day trip. They have numerous boat slips to use, and a boat ramp. We always rent a Ski Boat from the local marina, and dock it right at the hotel for the week. They also have canoes, row boats, and paddle boats, to use free of charge. They offer numerous different rooms from a regular hotel room ($60 a night) to condos with full kitchens ($80 a night), as well as outdoor grills to use if you don’t feel like eating out. It is not the most fancy or upscale place I've ever seen, but if you want a great relaxing week of family fun on a beautiful lake, for a cheap price, you have to check it out!
