This resort, only 30 minutes from Louisville, KY was a refreshing surprise. When I opened the door I anticipated the typical lake side cabin. Boy was I surprised when I opened the door.
It was gorgeous, beautifully decorated and appointed. The stone gas fireplace set the mood, followed by a nice soak in the hot tub, which overlooks the lake, and last but not least we cuddled up in the Egyptian cotton sheets.
We woke the next morning and were able to prepare our breakfast, since the cottage has a fully equipped kitchen. We went out for a hike with their Naturalist Edgewater Resort offers, took a canoe trip on the river with their guide, grilled out, had a hot stone massage, and then had another spectacular evening. Before we checked out on Sunday, we took advantage of their golf package. The staff was very welcoming and informative. Edgewater Resort at Taylorsville Lake is a place we will go back to again and again!
