I am extremely disappointed with my stay and the quality of this hotel. It was disgusting, dirty and I did not feel safe in the hotel. The best way to describe this hotel is with a single word - slum.
The room was filthy - there were stains on the lamp shades, seat
cushions, bedding, face cloths and towels. One blanket had cigarette
burns on it (in a non-smoking room). The room was not cleaned during
one of the days of my stay. The air conditioner cover was broken and there was so much dirt in the vent that air wouldn't come out. The bath tub had
soap scum stains in it. The vanity was held up by a 2x4, painted but
not sanded. They provided one tiny bar of soap but no shampoo. You
were supposed to receive a free newspaper, but it wasn't available.
The first morning I had requested a wakeup call, but they did not call.
I cannot stress how completely unhappy I am with my stay and with
Econo Lodge.
