Mediocre
Where to start... Walk in the lobby and it smell like cat urine. The staff barely speaks English, and those that speak it, don't speak it well. Elevators don't work, wonder how the cleaning crew carries all thier stuff up and down those...
The hotel was dirty and smelled very badly. The staff was impolite and totally disrespectful. If you have any sort of allergies, once you enter a bedroom you will need to head to the emergency room at the hospital. Quite a few persons checking in before and after us had problems with the staff. Not a place to spend even a few hours. Not a place to consider even under dire circumstances.

Okay

44 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for business
I frequently visit New haven for business purpose. This time I had reservation in Econolodge in West Haven. I had a very comfortable stay, the staff was very hospitable and the best I liked was the breakfast. I would surely like to stay in econolodge on my next visit.
52 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
My advice is to ask for a room in the back of the building to be away from the noise of I-95. The staff is very friendly and eager to help. The continental breakfast is excellent! Non smoking rooms are available. There are few luxuries, but if all you need is a clean comfortable place to sleep, this is a great choice.
The staff treated us as if we were the only guests. They gave us a welcome kit containing snacks and bottled water and they provided a second kit on request. They answered questions with infinite patience.
I am very likely
to return to the Econo Lodge West Haven.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.
