19 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
I was a little scared when I reserved this hotel because of the price and negative reviews, but I figured I could handle it for one night, so I reserved a different hotel for the weekend when I picked my husband up from Ft. Eustis.
I was very happy with this hotel. The people at the desk were extremely polite and helpful. I had a flat tire and no spare, so they called their AAA to get help for me. They gave me directions to the places I needed to go and were just super nice. The room was awesome! It was so nice and clean. Even the bathroom was clean.
They were in the process of changing all the hotel mattresses when I arrived so I got to sleep on a brand new mattress. I was talking to some locals about the hotel and the negative reviews and they said it used to be a dump but it was just bought by new people and remodeled.
I will definitely stay there again, as a matter of fact, I am staying there again this weekend. I was a little upset because I paid more for another hotel when my husband was with me and it wasn’t nearly as nice. The only negative thing about it is that there is a train track right behind it, but a train only went by around 6 pm and it happened at the other hotel as well!
