Econo Lodge Ocean Block Hotel - Page 1

We just got back from econo in oc. This was our 3rd time staying there. It is always very clean the staff are friendly. We will be back. WE LOVE IT!!!!

I stayed here with a group of High School kids that were traveling for a sporting event. The kids were very well behaved but the people in the hotel ( staff and guests ) were the problem. I was woken up by drunk guests banging on my door at 4:30am. When I complained I was told, "Sorry, we'll talk to them". They have video of the event but all they would do is say sorry. The owner said if I had a further problem I should call him and he would take care of it immediately. When I checked out I found out that they charged someone else's room on my Credit Card in addition to the 4 rooms I had already paid for. They said they didn't. I contacted my bank, they called the hotel and said they had the transaction in front of them. Only then did the hotel admit their mistake. They said they'd call me when they had refunded my money. They didn't call back to tell me they had done it. When I called to speak to "Buddy" the owner, he wasn't in and "Monte" who answered said that he'd give the message but Buddy wouldn't call me back. STAY AWAY!!!!

I liked the good location. The comfort and the service were good. The staff was knowledgeable.

We enjoyed the room, it was clean and bright. The hotel was close to everything we wanted.

This hotel made me feel relaxed: It was quiet, set back from the street.
