I was riding a bike from the Eastern US to Chicago and more or less had no choice but to stay at this overpriced hell hole. You would be wise to steer clear of this place. The lock set on my door was broken. The bathroom was filthy, and the place was just run down in general. I had to land at this place because there were tornado warnings being issued and I had to grab some shelter. $149 for one night in a dump. STAY AWAY.

We were in norwalk ohio near Sandusky Ohio on June 15th through the 19th, 2007. We just dropped our items off for the night because we had rehearsal that night for my mom's wedding on saturday , the room had mold by the bath tub and the floor was squeaky and soft almost ready to sink in when you walked on it there was mold in our refrigerator that was put into our room ,we checked out 2 hours later after not even being there in the room they wouldnt give us our money back after giving them cash for 5 days and 4 nights almost 250. 00 dollars they wanted to send my money back to us and we live out of state so we had to call the cops and we almost didnt have no place to stay for them nights because i wouldnt even allow my dog to stay in this motel . I was lied to big time the lady said they remodeled the motel what a lie , i would give them a 0 for hospitality i feel if you give cash for a motel they should beable to give your money back and not have to wait all weekend for it .

We arrived after a straight eight hour drive only to discover that our room was not ready. So the lodge clerk told us it would be done soon. Check in was at two o'clock in the afternoon and we arrived at four o'clock. My husband was very upset and asked me to ask the desk clerk if there was another room, and he did accommodate us, with something a little better. The room had a jacuzzi in it. That evening we used it and discovered it was dirty. There was not any plastic bag in the trash barrels. The last night we were there, an alarm went off within the lodge, at about three o'clock in the morning and kept us up a while after that. It went off for a long time it seemed. The next morning I had mentioned it and the women at the desk was just very apologetic. The second day we were there, the housekeeping came around to clean. So all in all it was not one of our better stays in this place.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the Econo Lodge Norwalk.
I would not recommend it to friends.
