Econo Lodge Newport News Motel - Page 1

I booked this room a month and a half in advance. We were quoted one price for 4 nights and 2 rooms. Turns out when we got there they had quoted the wrong price to us...the cost of the rooms was double! It was Memorial Day weekend so we had no choice we had to stay. The 1st thing we saw when we entered the room was a spider. I saw a total of 3 spiders and my children woke up with bites on them. we told the front desk and they looked at us like we were crazy. The shower was either too hot or too cold It took forever to adjust it. Because it wasnt installed correctly. BAD BAD! The pool was dirty and I dont think there was any chlorine in it. STAY AWAY!

This motel was a well-selected site, it's close to everywhere! It's very well-designed and built! It was a very comfortable and pleasant stay!

This Econolodge is in disrepair and the staff was very unfriendly. As we were checking in the clerk treated us as though we were not wanted there. I was very surprised at this because we always stay at that hotel when we visit Newport News.
