44 year old male with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

The hotel was convenient. It had a twenty four hour airport shuttle. It was clean.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Econo Lodge Lester.
I might recommend it to friends.

member icon The cheapest motel gives the cheapest product

This facility looked good on-line, with a $102 per night cost. But, when we arrived we were charged only $78. It looked like a rental storage facility, with no landscaping, completely fenced, with closed circuit tv in registration office, more like a prison. The light bulbs were missing in the exterior hallway, the room window was filthy, and we saw other "guests" bringing in bags of groceries, like it was permanent welfare housing. We forfeited the night's cost and fled down the road to Red Roof, for a comparable price. The boast of "closest to the airport" is meaningless under those circumstances.

Sleeping next to an adult bookstore in a hotel surrounded by a chain link fence is a touch unnerving. This hotel is off the beaten path in a seedy neighborhood at best. The price was right, and the room was clean.

This hotel was pretty much what you get these days in this price range; clean and basically decent. My only real complaint was that the TV started exhibiting a black block over most of the screen which would only go away by using any of the remote controls, but would come right back again. I mentioned it to the housekeeper but she didn't understand English very well, so I suspect she didn't communicate the problem to the desk clerk, who also didn't speak much English, so the problem was never fixed. They had prompt shuttle service to the airport at 5:30 a.m., so that worked.

I am very likely to return to the Econo Lodge Lester.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

I was to receive discount stamps for my stay. The manager was off for the weekend and had locked the stamps in the safe. I got the stamps a month later after I had to file a complaint.

I am very likely to return to the Econo Lodge Lester.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.
