I didn't expect much from the EconoLodge but, WOW! I've never seen such a nice EconoLodge before. Looks new. I'll go back. Great little Italian restaurant nearby. Try their fetticini alfredo!

My family and I stayed here a week again. The rooms are very spatious. The place has been completly redone. New pillowtop beds and flat panel TVs.

My kids enjoyed the waffles in the morning. Quite and comfortable.

We started off negotiating the rate; the clerk wanted to base it on other rates we'd encountered locally. Our bathroom had rust on the ceiling, a sticky shower curtain, an open electrical panel, cracked toilet cover, and loose floor tiles. The window unit for our room was barely functioning. The chairs at the table had cigarette burns and stains. The wall at the head of the bed (just a mattress and boxsprings, no headboard) was partially patched - fresh spackling and spackle gauze still visible. My request for an extra pillow was met with resistance. The free "breakfast" was the worst example of this I have ever seen.

Seemed some of the clientele were living there.

Outdoors, the pool was closed for repair. The stairs and landing to the second floor seemed structurally unsound - the wood was rotting and some steps had large holes.
