49 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
My fiancée and I were impressed when we arrives at the quaint motel around 8:45 pm and decided to use the sparkling clean pool as it was a warm night, perfect for a swim. Then the front desk clerk came out and accused us of being drunk and obnoxious and that we had not signed the hotel swimming liability book. When we informed her that we knew nothing about the "book", and that we did not appreciate her attitude, she threatened to call the police and told us to pack up and leave right away.
We found out later that she was not an owner like she had stated, that there were problems with her and guests in the past, and we are still waiting for a call from the legit owner. Choice hotels customer service department more or less said they are leaving it up to the hotel owners to resolve a sleepless and very uncomfortable night. Would strongly not recommend this hotel!
