Econo Lodge Gainesville Motel

I was attending an orientation at UF with my 2 daughters. The college offered an on campus hotel for 100+ per night. I found the Econo Lodge and got a much lower rate. The room was not luxurious, but it was clean and comfortable and there was a microwave and small refrigerator. Bring everything else yourself. I was very satisfied considering I was just looking for a comfortable place to sleep. I will return there again when I am visiting my daughter. It's less than 5 minutes from UF. I would actually rate it a 6.5, but you can't.

The management was very friendly.

The people in charge did not go out of their way to assist customers. The room smelled of mildew, there was a large cockroach in bathroom, there were no extra pillows or towels, and I had to take the TV remote to the office for new batteries. I will stay somewhere else next time.
