Upon check in we were given keys to a room that was still dirty from previous travelers. Beds not made, trash not emptied, etc. Desk person apologized and gave us another room. Room smelled of Lysol or cleaning fluid. Bathroom shower curtain was dirty on bottom because it was too long for the tub. Mildew around tub. I could go on and on. We were the only guests at the hotel upon check in. When we left early in the AM there were no more than 10 cars in the entire parking lot.

We had never stayed in Econolodge before and it is very hard to get a reservation at the time we were there. Our room was huge and new, and clean and we want to stay there again in May, but they won't take our reservation just yet.

This hotel made me feel secure: It was in a separate, very safe building and the manager and his family lived on premises, and it was very clean and well-lit.

We want to stay there every time we are in Sturbridge and we'd like to have the same room.
