The motel is fine. It is old, but clean. The rooms are fairly small and the amenities are limited. Get a coupon at State Welcome Centers, or online, to lower your rate by 20 bucks a night.

There are restaurants within walking distance reasonably priced. It is 2 minute walk to a bus (75 cents one way) that comes by regularly for a 5-10 minute trip to the Farifax Metro station. The staff is helpful. The only real negative thing is the breakfast. All it contains is coffee, a bottle of juice, and a choice of a roll. However, they do have a newspaper for the guests.

In my opinion, it is a clean no-frills place that has easy access to DC. I have stayed here a few times and its overall positives more than outweigh its negatives.

They have never gotten the reservations right every year for 7 years. They always separate our group even though we say we want to stay near each other. The price is outrageous for this particular Econo Lodge as it isn't the greatest accommodations. The tubs are peeling and so is the paint on the walls, and for $95 a night I could stay in a classy Marriott for less money. We are seriously considering staying somewhere else next year.

It was clean and comfortable and we got a good night's sleep. Also it was near two restaurants which were in walking distance, which was nice.
